UPLUG
About
I was sitting round with my roommates one evening, trying to decide what we would do with our night. I casually mentioned that it would be nice to have an app for this and then next thing I knew I was working on just that. Unplug is a mobile application for finding events nearby or posting events you host. The hope is that apps like this will feed local culture and breed unique pockets of life.

While there have been attempts at apps like this for big cities in the past, Unplug looks to use local activity nationwide to drive its platform. It relies on users to manage information while moderators weed out any bad seeds. Unplug uses a similar idea to Facebook Events, but delivers results based on your specific tastes; it doesn't just show you what your friends are doing.
Branding
Unplug is tailored for those who favor a bit of nightlife; the app leans into this with the neon lights on the dark and brick backgrounds. The navigation of the app is simple which will ideally lead to less time spent on the screen and more time spent in the moment. The important links are lit up with the neon lights while the rest sit back.
